What does 'IS GLOBAL' mean in company documents?

What does 'IS GLOBAL' mean in company documents?

There are 2 'global' type fields associated with document records. They are:

Document Details tab

This means if ticked, the Site/Service field selected in the record is ignored and all staff, regardless of where they work, will be able to see this document on the List screen.

If the checkbox is not ticked, the document will only display on the Document List screen for those users with visibility to the selected Site/Service.

Document Revision Details Popup

If this checkbox is ticked, it means that if a user selects the magnifying glass on the Document list screen, this file will be visible to that user. It also shows as 'Public' in the Revision table as per above.

If this checkbox is not ticked, it remains 'Hidden' where only those users with access to the Revision Details will be able to download the hidden file.
