Training - How to Publish a Training Course and Course Material

Setting up, creating and running courses within ionMy is very simple. You can setup as little or as much information as you like, from just having a Course Name and Scheduled Name and Date Run to having extreme information stored, such as Training Agenda, Credentials gained on completion, etc.

Once the course is configured you can create schedules and publish the Training Course and Course Material

 

Adding a Course

  1. Navigate to Governance > Course Management - This brings up the Course tab.

  2. Select the 'New' button (if you are ADDING a new course). If you are just viewing or editing an existing course, select the course you want to deal with and continue. When adding a Course, you can go into as much or little detail as you want. Easiest - name of course, Medium - Course Name and Schedule, to all details and attachments, usual Agenda, if this course is Mandatory or not (critical for Gap Analysis), etc. It’s up to you and what makes sense to your Organisation. There is no need to add data that you will never use.

  3. Once the Course Details are 'Saved' you can then go back into the Course and record the usual Course Agenda and if you receive a Credential on completion of the course you can attach this now also. So if anyone attends this course, the credential will automatically flow through to your employees Credential records.

 

CREATING SCHEDULES

  1. Click on Schedule tab for this Course and click on 'New' to add a new Schedule, or select an existing Schedule if you just want to add/edit/view details.

  2. Once you have 'saved' this Schedule, you can now enter/upload more information. You will see that the Course Agenda has flowed through which you can leave as is or adjust if required.

  3. You can Attach Uploads such as Training Notes, 'Link' the course to any relevant Standards (Accreditation) and add any Actions relating to this Schedule, such as booking a room, printing course documentation etc.

 

Adding schedule against staff record(s)

  1. Navigate to My Workforce > Credentials & Training

  2. If a group of employees attended the Course, you can do an easy Bulk Update process by selecting  the Education Bulk Update tab

  3. Select your Course and Schedule from the drop-down boxes

  4. Then select the employees via the usual Selection box, and 'Save' the record.

 

Publishing Training Course and Course Material

  1. Navigate to Governance > Training Course Library

  2. Select the Course from the list

  3. Once done click on the Training schedule List tab

  4. From the Schedule List select the course schedule you want to publish

  1. Click on the “Publish “ Button to publish

  2. Upon publishing attendees will receive the alert (On Training Schedule Publish) which will contain the attachments/Course materials
