SUPPORT HOT TIP #1 – HOW TO ADD AN EXTERNAL LINK IN YOUR  INFORMATION  BUTTONS

As you are aware, each tab within your ionMy solution has an ‘Information’ button. This is for your own internal use, should you wish to provide users with information about that tab, details from   your policies and/or procedures and so  on.

 

A client has asked about adding an external URL to this information button, that would direct staff directly to that URL.

 

Following are how this can be achieved:

My Helper > System Helper Setup

Filter into the module you are looking to update, eg Hazard and Risks > Risk Register All tabs within the risk register are then   listed.

Click the ‘Edit’ icon next to the tab you wish to add a URL into the information button on. Click on the </> button on the right of the tools

 

Copy and paste the following, where you can replace the ionmy.com.au to your desired external URL.

You can also change the ‘This is your external URL’ wording to be what you wish it to be, such as ‘Link to our Risk Rating Procedure’.

 

Save Changes, and you are done. Your information button will now have the link to the external site.
